The first rounds of the sprint went OK for me, after a not so good ride at the muntjack I really wanted to get back to how I should be riding. The first day wasn’t going to bad until a big crash left me seeing stars and I lost 2 minutes in one test, the second day went OK, I had a sore neck from a bit of whiplash but managed to get 4th so it wasn’t to bad. I felt good at rounds 3 and 4, it was a bit of a shame that the course was so fast in places as I think my pace was good and I was only loosing out on the long straights.
Since the sprints I was lucky enough to find a new practice area which is local to me, it was built and is used by a top MX2 British and World championship rider and with the lighter nights coming in hopefully some speed training is going to benefit me.
I’m feeling good for the next rounds of the British sprint championship so hopefully things will go good and we will get a good results.
See you at Rogershill Raceway in 2 weeks,
Daryl
